Grootste gaarkeuken ooit!
Bij de Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), in de stad Amritsar in India, kun je, als je weinig of geen geld hebt, iedere dag gratis een maaltijd halen. En dat doen zo’n 40.000 mensen per dag en op drukke dagen zelfs wel 100.000 mensen! Deze tempel is dus niet alleen een enorme toeristische trekpleister, het is ook een van de best georganiseerde vrijwilligers organisatie op de wereld! Het proces wat hier aan vooraf gaat, het bereiden, klaarmaken, serveren en schoonmaken, is een enorme organisatie die geheel draait op vrijwilligers en donaties!
